Dedicated Freight Corridor

Be it connectivity, decongestion of current routes, or raising the speed of hefty hauling trains, a dedicated freight corridor is a game changer in the country's economic development.

The Western DFC (1506 Route km) and Eastern DFC (1506 Route km) are being built by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India .

The Eastern Corridor - EDFC will run from Sahnewal near Ludhiana (Punjab) to Dankuni in West Bengal, passing through the states of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand.

 

The Western Corridor - WDFC, which will run from Dadri in Uttar Pradesh to Mumbai's Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT), will pass through the WDFC states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra.

Samruddhi Mahamarg

The  Samruddhi Mahamarg is to create connectivity to the last mile with best public transport facilities for quick and easy movement of people and goods.

The expressway is yet another signature project that shines bright in our portfolio . This Expressway will enable a large population to have easy access to major centers in Maharashtra for a wide range of self-employment and wage employment opportunities, business, trade, education, health care and other necessary services.

The expressway will pass through ten districts, namely Nagpur, Wardha, Amravati, Washim, Buldhana, Aurangabad, Jalna, Ahmednagar, Nashik and Thane. It will connect Nagpur to Mumbai and have direct connectivity with the country’s largest container port – JNPT.

 

This will enhance EXIM (export-import) trade of the state. Inter-connecting highways and feeder roads would be constructed to connect all important cities and tourist places along this route.

 

This will connect another fourteen districts, namely Chandrapur, Bhandara, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Yavatmal, Akola, Hingoli, Parbhani, Nanded, Beed, Dhule, Jalgaon, Palghar and Raigad. In this manner, a total of twenty-four districts in Maharashtra will be connected via this expressway.
Major tourist destinations in the state will also be connected to the expressway. 

Navi Mumbai International Airport

Navi Mumbai International Airport is an under-construction greenfield international airport being built at Panvel/Uran, Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra, India. It will be the extension to the existing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) as India's first urban multi-airport system.

 Navi Mumbai International Airport when compleated will be able to handle 10 million passengers per annum in its first phase. It will be expanded to its final capacity to handle more than 90 million passengers per annum.

Purvanchal Expressway

Purvanchal Expresswa is a 340.8 km long, 6-lane wide (expandable to 8) access-controlled expressway in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The expressway connects Chand Saray village near Gosainganj in Lucknow district with Haydaria village on NH-31 in Ghazipur district. It is developed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).

 

The Purvanchal Expressway has a 3.2 km long airstrip at Akhalkiri Karwat village near Kurebhar in Sultanpur district for emergency landing of aircraft. 

The construction work was started by the UPEIDA on 10 October 2018 and was inaugurated and opened to public on 16 November 2021.

Polavaram Project

The Polavaram Project is an under construction multi-purpose irrigation project on the Godavari River in the West Godavari District and East Godavari District in Andhra Pradesh.

The project has been accorded National project status by the Union Government of India. Its reservoir back water spreads up to the Dummugudem Anicut (i.e. approx 150 km back from Polavaram dam on main river side) and approx 115 km on Sabari River side.

 

Thus back water spreads into parts of Chhattisgarh and Odisha States. It gives major boost to tourism sector in Godavari Districts as the reservoir covers the famous Papikonda National Park, Polavaram hydro electric project (HEP) and National Waterway 4 are under construction on left side of the river. It is located 40 km to the upstream of Sir Arthur Cotton Barrage in Rajamahendravaram City and 25 km from Rajahmundry Airport.
